Default Looking for a web developer to be a partner in a website concept

Have a few ideas for website development and looking for a web/app developer that would be interested in putting together some websites and app and share in the business.

Based in Sydey is great to have meetings and discuss opportunities.

Thanks

Could you explain a little further? What sort of sites are we talking about? Full time / part time? And what sort of remuneration is expected?

Websites and App ... could you be more specific. Is it a website or an App. or a web based App ? or a Website to sell apps?

Where does the profit come from. Sales, Service / Subscription, Advertising ?

OK. thanks for the repose guys (or girls). We have a gourp of friend that regularly get together and meet to form new Ideas for Apps, Website and IT opportunities.

We current have one app and one website idea that are almost ready to go.
We shall look at the website first.

We have two options going forward:

1.Self finance the opportunity with indian/bagladesh developers doing the coding. We have approached a couple of firms that specialise in this field.

2. Look for a Local developer to come on board and assist with the putting these ideas into production with partnership as remuneration.

there are pros and con for both, but I thought I would put the idea out here and see if there were any potentials.

This sort of opportunity was started with my group previously, but one of the lead guys driving that project fell serious ill and we took it as an omen to cancel that business project.

Where are you based? what are your skills? are you interested in an after hours project that could lead to a lot more?

thanks

TheNek.

I know an awesome web developer, he is Melbourne based though, but he is able to communicate with you through phone, skype etc. He has done alot of big projects, and this is right up his alley. You wont be dissapointed

Some of his work is here - char2.com

Let me know what you think.

I would be interested in helping out. I have 20 years experience on software development with significant skills in web development technology. I am located in Melbourne just in case that is an issue. I have also done both iPhone and Android based development to leverage off web development as well which might be of some use. If you are interested, contact me.

Different person to that mentioned by chrisaaa. Have always looked around on overclockers and thought it might be time to be a member. Certainly interested in side projects, have completed quite a few.

Seems to have a remarkably similar website portfolio to [EDIT changed link, my mistake] https://www.elance.com/samples/-pre-driven/28656752/
I won't speculate as to who copied who but I do note the duplication with http://char2.com/webdesign.html

DOUBLE EDIT - I was just suspicious because the way those developers present the sites in their portfolio is very graphical, pretty, emphasis on heavy graphics. This is what I'd expect from graphic designers, developers who aren't overly technical, they do small pages for small businesses that look nice.
YET, by the looks of some of the sites in the portfolio they'd involve heavy backend database work that a dude on Mac with a cert III in web skillz couldn't do.

I thought it was strange that such a developer would market themselves in such a way, I'd expect them to mention a lot more about development processes, security, 'solution development' etc That's what people looking for "proper" websites like the ones displayed are looking for.

So I thought I'd go looking for the websites to see what they were like, if they were still there, who developed them. Haven't been able to find any of those sites online.

http://27bslash6.com/p2p2.html

Substitute "logo design" with "website coding".
