Yes it is. Only using cheaper bearings. VERY suspicious if you think this will be as good as the original GT's.

Although I applaud the static pressure they say it produces why don't you simply buy the tried and true heavy duty babies, from the Delta line?

Delta has been making reliable fans for years and they make some that will not only guarantee to push lots of air but chew your fingers off in seconds if placed inside their shroud. It happened to me.

Get a Delta fan, everything else is playschool compared to what this company makes.........fans that can blend, churn and cut as well as push air.

For a budget build it doesn't look bad, even for a cheap clone at least the price reflects it heh.. That and GT's are out of stock at most big stores & cost double. >< Definitely wouldn't be as good as a GT but still good value if it actually performs to spec. If only Gelid would make a blade detachable UV version.. xD

But the whole point of the GTs are the impressive pressure/flow ratings, at a very low noise level. Delta's are fucking loud...

What......what did you say........ Yes of course Delta's are loud, but the cfm they churn out is amazing. In fact many have such force that the copper radiator fins would get flattened when the fan runs at full speed on any H2O rig.

The GT's are not much quiet especially the 1850rpm model. And that would be the most tolerable with noise out of their 2000 and 3000 rpm high spec-range.

The higher the cfm rating the greater the noise. No company can make a fan that pushes the most air without sounding like a 'Delta'.

saw these, decent enough static pressure for the price. probably one of the better in its price range (sub $15).
i guess only yateloons are close (also around the same price) and they dont look as nice, and are quite noisy also (depending on RPM)

True, but not everyone is just after pure performance...

1150rpm GTs are absolutely silent as far as I'm concerned, and push a lot more air than most other fans at the same noise level.

Well yeah, obviously but some fans make more noise with the same airflow, and some make less. At much higher cfm it's not going to be a huge difference, and if you're after that sort of airflow you probably don't care about noise anyway...

Just foolin with ya. I CAN'T stand fan noise anymore. Hence most of my machines have been slowly de-fanned.

Due to the low cpu temps of the current range of Intel chips (1155) you really don't need to have much fans. Of course those that want to overclock the bejeezus out of their gear are welcome to.

I much prefer a room that is extremely quiet, meaning no headaches from noise anymore.

Yep, I had eight (8) PFB1212UHE's all rigged up to a Alphacool Monsta 480. The four areas in front with the attached Delta's had eventually started to deform after about two weeks of running.

Every fortnight I had to keep removing the 4 fans in front and straighten the copper fins with flat pliers.

It was a pain, but I never let it run for months to see what would happen. Maybe the fins only deformed up to a point, but I didn't want to take that chance in case it leaked or caused an obstruction.

just ordered 4, to use on a h100 in push/pull.
at the price, figured why not give them a try...

will post back if theres any real dramas with things like motor whine, bearings giving out, blades falling off, fingers being cut off etc etc... beyond that, not sure what other feedback to provide, i dont have a dB meter or CFM checker lol.
