wow that looks nice. I'm kinda regretting not buying it... but yeah, still have about $700 left to pay on my lay-by

Jealous of your red baron and original sopwith sets. The new sopwith is pretty cool, it's huge though. I'm hoping they will re-release the Red Baron set as well.

Really enjoyed the build. Only dull part was duplicating the solid rocket boosters but there's not too much too them anyway. I love the colours and the shuttle itself is a fantastic model. Would be great to get around to doing a tower and transporter for it one day.
That does look pretty sweet...getting tempted now darn you OCAU

my wife bought the R2D2 for $200 for herself last week (I was going to buy it for her birthday) and I literally just 10 minutes ago placed an online order at Big W for the City of Atlantis set - slightly less than half price at $48 (normal Big W price listed at $98) - it'll keep the 5 year old daughter busy for a few days at least.

I was looking around for something cheap in the videogame section to raise the total to over $50 and spotted the Fallout New Vegas Strategy Guide for $5, so thought 'why not'. Turns out it was the last one in stock - so happy I snagged two bargains

Hey! You forgot to open the cargo bay doors!

Inside is a cool little satellite that looks a bit like the Hubble Telescope. The shuttle has a moveable deployment arm that is strong enough to hold the satellite out on display, even when standing vertical.

how long will it be before it becomes really expensive to buy the SSD on the ebay/secondhand market?

I don't really have the money to splash right now, but I've been collecting the SW lego since it came out (and since I was a little kid).

Also, are there any sets you guys would deem really necessary for a collection?

current SW:

ISS (normal, not collector's)
Millenium Falcon (first run)
X-Wing Fighter (first run, yavin 4 station ed)
Tie Fighter
Y-wing vs. Tie Fighter (vader)
AT-AT walker
Slave I (first run)
Sandspeeder (first run)
Throne room duel

thinking i probably need a b-wing fighter, an a-wing fighter and an at-st.

There's a UCS editon of the B-wing rumoured to be released later this year/early next year.

The SSD is only going to get more expensive. I doubt Lego will produce them for much longer considering it's been out for over a year now.

You have a pretty good collection. I think the UCS AT-ST will go nicely with it :-) They're not too expensive on bricklink.

It has the prime real estate of my desk.

I really hope they do a Saturn V rocket kit as well, at the same scale.
Damn I am super tempted to Lay By it at $128.. just dont know how good that price is.

Pretty decent for a retail price, special or otherwise. I was happy paying $140 for mine.

Hmm guess I'm the only one that didn't find it all that special post viewing several YouTube reviews and returning to Kmart for a second look.

Question for those that have used the Lego Store.

1. Do I get a tracking number once the item has shipped?
2. Are these items shipping from overseas or locally? I've used the Australian store.

Edit: Ok, received a tracking number. Appears to be shipping from Denmark

Other than that, here's my collection.

(Ew, dust )

Free space is for the VW Campervan.
