Depends on what you use it for, I'm staying with the 7.7 as the expandable storage (and the 32gb built in for mine) is what i need to make it a viable media watcher when I travel

I think you need to be realistic about how much storage you require and decide from there.

Same, since changing from the 3GS to the S3 it has been a very interesting week. Finally getting my head around it all, the biggest problem was the increase in freedom.

For the price I will definitely grab one. Looking for a planner replacement, originally was waiting for the the win8 tablets but... this will be a nice stop gap at the least.

Definitely, and just in time to spend the tax refund.

Very true.

My current 32GB card in my 7.7 is filled full of music. But now with MOG being unmetered on Telstra I could possibly use that instead... but would loose access to music when offline.

If there were more options available for using a wireless external hard drive (or flash drive) then that would be a great solution.... but I don't know of any apart from the Seagate one which apparently isn't very good.

Kingston Wi-Drive's are apparently pretty good for the price and there's also the Airstash (although that is a bit more pricey). I was planning on getting a Wi-Drive but after hearing you're not allowed to use them on some flights I've decided just to get a USB OTG cable and a 64GB thumb drive instead.

Last time I checked the Wi-Drive was IOS only, looks like they have added Android support Battery life is a concern though.

As for the USB OTG, it looks like it will only work if you root your device?

That's nice and all, but a SGS3 isn't a Nexus 7 .

Ooops, wrong thread. My bad. I had this and the SGS III thread open and posted on the wrong one...

But I trust our XDA friends will do something about that as I'm also waiting for my Nexus 7.

Was wondering what the point of that post was.

On another note, I can't get enough of a fix of Nexus 7-related shiz to satisfy my cravings. I want it now damnit!

...and I did manage to find something though which I somehow missed previously - a rather in-depth review from the Verge, who I previously linked their regular text-based review of.

http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/29/31...nexus-7-review

I just want to touch it.

Ahah all good. Yeah I hope someone gets it working with USB storage. They did have a keyboard running off it I believe.
