How exactly do you expect this to be accomplished?? If you want you can install from an ISO that includes SP1, which you can download pretty easily (and is probably how new copies are being shipped anyway). But other then that, having to update an OS is unavoidable.

Also, if you find yourself doing a lot of work on peoples machines, updates and the like, it might be worth downloading wsusoffline. Basically it lets you specify which OS's you want updates for, downloads all available updates for them, and then you can run it to update a machine, from a usb key or hdd or across the network. Fairly big download the first time, but can save you a lot in the future if you're doing a lot of machines.

I'd be careful with the agility series. I've had a fair amount of trouble with a 120gb version, I can't let the screen turn off via power settings or the machine crashes, in fact any power saving options at all lead to the machine crashing... Having a read around online seems to be fairly common problem, even on latest firmware etc. Still very quick when it is working though

Yea, wishful thinking on my part

Thanks for the link, I'll try 'wsusoffline' as we don't have access to internet at the club apart from some have a wireless dongle with their laptop

Been using 'ninite.com' for downloading and updating programs when someone has a wireless dongle http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...rc2l5g&cad=rja

The clubs workshop is only once a month with anything from two or three desktop/laptop computers to six or seven computers with problems
