G'day mate, nice looking desk... one thing I was curious about... what thickness is the aluminium sheeting that you used?

Thanks for the compliments guys
.I used 1.5mm sheeting throughout the desk. and 25mm hollow aluminium bars for the frame. ,

Nice build there Sahand. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but haven't worked out how to get a metallic finish without welding, but using a tube poping and rivets have never actually occurred to me, gives me a lot to think about!

Just want to update everyone as to what is happening with this build.
It is being put on hold for a little while. There is allot im planning to change, big changes. Firstly i want to make the motherboard tray removable, like a draw. Need to cut out leg section to make it more comfortable. Make the underside of the table removable for better cable management and routing. These are big changes with regards to gutting the table, and i will be taking a break from it for a little while (dont worry, she will be completed). However in the mean time i am placing all the original parts of this build in a TX10-V. And the final parts of the desk build will be decided once the desk is completed. For now though this build is on hold. |

I love the idea of building a desk like this, my only concern is the temps within the desk (airflow over chipset etc), as the only airflow is realy going to be from the Rads.
I have small kids, and as such i cant have a "normal" desk (have it locked in cupbord), so this kind of thing realy appeals to me. id be realy keen to see what kind of temps you get in the desk when its done
