Hi Guys,
We have got a few TVs that are connected to computers and trying to find a PHP Script with small database backend that will allow us to scroll through news items we want to put up. For example we open up a Browser and launch the Page and it scrolls through all the news items for the day and we can add, edit, delete items throughout the day using a small wysiwyg editor. I have looked up google and all I can find is JavaScript ones that aren't really what I am after. Any one know of scripts. Thanks Matthew |

i would not bother with a database - there's no need.
I'd use something like FeedCreator to manage a RSS feed, then a javascript to read the RSS via AJAX and scroll the posts. You could skip the PHP/FeedCreator part all together and just a free blog service like Blogger to create the news headlines, then a Javascript as before to retrieve and scroll them. Maybe try http://www.rsspump.com/ Or if its really just plain news headlines, a plain text file with one headline per line is all you need. Keep it simple !
