Default Messaging program that uses AD?

Hi All,

at work here we had a few users using windows messenger to communicate around the buildings and from site to site (bit wanky but they like it and need it)

anyway - msn recently spat out a message saying something like 'cannot login because your version of messenger is too old'

okay, so i updated it - that introduced a number of more severe errors. a lot of system services started playing up.. so msn is out of the question.. i need an alternative.

maybe something that used AD for logins? and before you post: google has failed me.

Thanks!

it does look good.

probably should have mentioned that we are currently moving office and also upgrading servers so i don't see paying for anything at the moment is an option..
