Yeah it's a nice card, I'm gonna have to spend a bit of time and see if I can get it anywhere remotely close to your clocks!

I'll be stoked if I hit 1300

Hey Rev, i asked myself why void my warranty doing so when i can do it this way and keep it. na man i got some MSI lightnings at a REALLY good price from my supplier. These are MY cards, as some of the others u have seen me with ere not mine. Im using the Unlocked Bios. Just waiting on the new version of MSI afterburner for full software adjustment and up to 1.8v although i won't be going that high, these will be put under water blocks as more products become available but i do plan to reach 1400-1450mhz on air so that is what i will try for.

Those tests were with 304.42 drivers but i had it on PCIe 2.0.

elephantman: Good luck and happy OCing. My DCII hit 1300 so you have a good chance!

My Signature tops out at 1272 so I'm disapointed and tempted to also get a Lightning ....

Yeah Rev bugger! Its always a risk with these stock keplers because you can't give them more juice to get you were you want anyways. Yeah man, these lightnings are amazing! Out of the box on unlocked bios 1360mhz for 3dmark11 and runs Heaven and all the games solid at 1330-1340mhz and thats stock kepler volts! These things are gonna be monsters.. Even if you grab one from Oz which is extremely limited stock and pay the premium cost, i still think its worth it, thats how good i think they are

Scotteee: PCCG has very limited stock at the famous Ozzy premium ripp price, still worth it IMO. The caps and Chokes FET they use on these custom PCB,s are insane!

Brilliant! thats not a bad price compared what i normally pay for stupidly overpriced things :P just got my gainward 690 refunded from RMA, so the $1700 i get back shall fund 2 x these lightnings + some left over

Oh also, i'll have a Asus Direct CU2 Top edition for sale if anyones keen

Ok sorry for this JoolzD. I had to try PCIe 3.0 and you see the difference. Yes, my cards idle at 1202mhz.. lol

P20620 - 2x GTX680 +158 core +400 mem - i7 3930K @ 5.1ghz - 16GB G.skill Rip jaws Z 2133mhz - Asus Rampage IV Formula. - White_Ice - WATER XSPC RAYSTORM. http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3857707

Also here is a graph, notice how smooth the graph is on all parts, it sits at 1360mhz and does not budge no matter what. The power delivery is far superior to that of the reference. Impressive temps also, card will NOT go over 60 degrees under extreme benching or anything else. Card is at full usage there..

Did a little bit of oc'ing to the 7970. Easily hit 1150mhz at 1.12V. The stock Voltage was only 1.05V whereas most 7970's come with a 1.17V reading. I've got a bit of room to play with. The card did hit 1200mhz at 1.17V but honestly I'd prefer the fan to be quite I also tried 1300mhz at 1.23V it ran ok and stable, but over the top way too loud. The performance also started to decrease one I go over 1250mhz.

Will be getting a i7 3770k and an Asus Sabertooth Z77 soon... should boost the score a little. Then I'll finally be able to overclock a CPU

Any1 know how the 7970 MSI lightnings are?
