have both here. they should both do that (though CPUs seem to be a mixed bag with temps at a given frequency, but it should be do-able either way.)
the M3 has better onboard sound which might be worth the slight price bump.
the ud3 should have better memory OC ability and would handle big overclocks (talking beyond water cooling here..) better due to superior PWM

Don't worry mate I'll help you with that http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=225123

If you did some research you'd realise that I've always gone under the name Djayness, long before I joined OCAU as Epic.

The U=2oz copper PCB. So the D3H doesn't have the extra copper in the PCB. Also the D3H has a 4-pin PSU plugin.

UD3H would be better for OC as it is easier to use for OC with the post code and buttons and read points.

This, except the M3 can handle big OCs too, don't let its small size fool you, i can do over 6G with it and wprime at 6.2g. LOL that is almost 250W in the 4-pin. Dangerous I know. lol

Hasn't done it at all this week, but I have noticed that sometimes when the power is turned on, the PC might take 10 seconds before the power is actually engaged and fans spin up. Really odd behaviour on cold boot.
OKi doki, a month and a half further on, I've since updated the BIOS to the latest official one and the issue with the odd boot behaviour was always still present. It's escalated tonight though as it will not power up at all.

Unsure of what my first trouble shooting step should be, but I've unplugged the USB devices as apparently these had been giving some people issues; no change. Previously, turning the power off on the supply and back on had a positive effect; has done nothing.

What should I be doing next?

Well, there is power to the board as the reset light on the board itself lights up once the cable is connected.

Anyway, I pulled it apart, checked to see if there was any contacts....found none, swapped the AC cable over just to make sure it wasn't the problem....and it booted.

Still, this mobo has been all kinds of unpredictable since I've got it.

Six weeks on and the board is at it again. Exact same issue of simply not powering up.

F'ing annoying, as I never actually solved it before....it just decided to boot.
