anyone got some good advice for a new vita owner ?
if thats your biggest concern... you're doing well... lol

you're about a week late on picking up some bargain downloadable games from the PSN... though if you aren't attached to your aussie psn account maybe look at hitting up the US store cause its all cheaper... plenty of info around on what/how to do all that...

apart from that... enjoy it... i personally think its an awesome piece of hardware and enjoy the games i've got for it (over 10 inc downloadable only titles)

I got Wipeout and Unit 13 with it and ive got a few trials

I got motorstorm when it was free on the PSN, so I need to transfer that over from the PS3

How do the PS3 games that work on the Vita transfer over (like hustle kings) I have it on my PS3, do i need a Vita code ?

motorstorm isn't avail on vita (psp ver) yet... i think it was... then it was pulled due to an exploit...

as for hustle kings... u can just download it again on ur vita directly (go to your download list) or you'll have to download the installer on ur ps3 and transfer it... i'd just do it direct if i were u

wipeout and unit 13 are both great IMO

Go to the PSN Store on the Vita, look in the Wipeout HD section and if you have Wipeout HD / Wipeout Fury on the PS3, the addon packs will be listed as free.

This console would be infinitely better if I could get those PS1 titles available on PS3 and PSP.

Indeed, I bought all the Final Fantasy games I could on sale before I got my Vita, now a lot of them go unloved .

My Vita still has seen some decent use, would like more though.

unfortunately its not sony's fault, its publishers and rights holders of the titles that generally slow up the process.

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but MLB 12 The Show is now available on the EU (including AU) store.

This is significant for a number of reasons.

1) To my knowledge, The Show has never been sold outside of the US before.
2) Previously importing a US version of The Show for PS3 wasn't an issue even with the online pass coming in last year as you could just redeem it using a US account and then play from your AU account.
3) With The Show 12, a Vita version with PS3/Vita cross saves was introduced - but as the Vita is locked to one account there was no way for EU/AU importers to redeem the Vita online pass and therefore use the cross save feature.

I can confirm the digital version sold on the EU/AU store is identical to the US version and includes an online pass that works!

For anyone who hasn't tried it, MLB The Show 12 (and 11 for that matter) is one of the best sports games I've ever played - and I'm not even that into baseball! This year they have added full Move support for the PS3 version which is actually a lot of fun to use.

The Vita version is a port, and is graphically inferior to the PS3 version but still absolutely brilliant in its own right and massively addictive for on the go game play. Aside from scaled graphics it has all the bells and whistles of the PS3 version which is remarkable. I've played through four full seasons with my pitcher in 'Road to the Show' on my Vita and can't put it down.

Yeah this is a gem Even though there is now a YouTube app for Vita this is still my preferred way of doing things. Sony need to sort their app integration out big time. For instance if you click on a link in Twitter that opens in YouTube there is no way to view it, no way to cut and paste the link and no way to get it to re-open in the YouTube app.

Luckily this method works every time and allows HD copies to be stored locally - brilliant!
