Default formatting Fat32 under win 7 ??

Hey all

I have a WD 500 GB ext portable hdd that I need to format to Fat32 so I can run my movies etc from this into my Apple tv .

Anyone able to help me format this sucker to fat32 please ??

I have blown away everything on the hdd,
can see the disk under diskpart , see the partiton as well, then try fat32format & it says failed to get partition info.

I'm stumped..

Cant set as active as its not MBR disk

anyone ??

Delete the existing partition and then create a FAT32 one?

Thanks all

I eventually found a copy from the WD site that would actually download & then no joy installing on Win7. had to hunt for enough bits to make a XP box run again & I hope all is good now , only time will tell.

thanks again for your assistance
