Default Marrawah Landscape

This shot was taken in Tasmania during an 8 day photography trip. This particular morning I wasn't planning on waking for sunrise. After quite a few miserable days and two non-existent sunrises, I decided it was going to be cloudy and flat again so decided to set my alarm for a 7am wake-up. The mate who I was traveling with decided to wake a little bit earlier. I was awoken with a knock at the door and a ' wake up Martin, there is a break in the cloud on the horizon'! We were located at Arthur River at the time and traveled north to Marrawah to capture this awesome light. If you look closely you can see Woolnorth Wind Farm on Cape Grim in the background.

I just got LR4 today, so still trying to work out the new sliders! I knew exactly how I edited most shots with LR3...now I have to re-learn.

Thanks for looking,

Martin

I like it, in particular, the intersecting hills.

the foreground feels a tad oversaturated (could it be my monitor though. hmmm)..... however.... i like the intersecting hills.

Lots of layers and depth in the photo. Interesting with sun on the grass in the foreground and then shade on the next face.

I think the clouds look washed out?

I'm about to upgrade editing tools myself, looking forward to better results, but perhaps not the learning curve.

I tell you what LR4 is totally different to LR3. I am really struggling! I can see it will be good once I have managed to perfect which slider I use for what.

To me the plain behind the hill on the right looks a little washed out and lacking contrast?
