Fair enough - I'd be using it OS a lot, so Google maps tends to be the best way to go...

Hey guys i picked up the 32 blue tab with dock from hardly normal 2 days ago for $476 which has since been assessed as incorrect pricing and should have been $576.
Great for those who w were quick. Anyhow ive been searching around for some covers etc, can anyone recommend anything specific?
Would really like a silicon case for the tablet but can only assume it wouldnt play nice with the dock.

Hmmmmm, bad bad news for the Transformer Infinity (TF 700) and Aus customers...

from PC World

Quote:
"The release date is now very up in the air," the ASUS spokesperson said. "We don’t have an exact on shelf date, and if there are no more hiccups at factory level we are expecting the stock to arrive mid to late July to our distributors, then usually a week or two on shelf. At this stage, that's the most accurate timing we can give you."

In addition to the stock delay, the Transformer Pad Infinity will command a higher recommended retail price in Australia than initially expected. The tablet was expected to retail for $899, but will now sell for $100 more than that at $999. This retail price includes the keyboard dock bundled into the sales package, an accessory that is sold as an add-on option in other markets.

Bought one from ebay, the cover on the dock seperates from the tablets flip cover, haven't got it yet.
Hopefully it will do what it needs to.

Got mine delivered from B&H yesterday and I'm quite happy (even more so that I'm not paying the Australian Asus price!).

My first tablet though, so I've really nothing to compare it to, use wise!

Damn! I need to order!

So in terms of ROMs, is this still essentially a Prime? Do the ROMs and utilities work?

I was going to get the 32GB, but it was out of stock... I took it as a sign to buy the 64GB Very pleased with B&H, as it was delivered in about 4 days! 2 days earlier than the expected delivery date

I'd like to know about ROMs as well. I'd probably keep it stock for a while though, then tinker with it some more after I'd gotten used to it.

Doh! So I just realised after doing some reading that there is a brand new keyboard for the TF700. I didn't know this so I ordered the Prime's TF201 (which Amazon actually had bundled at a special price)!

Even though on ASUS' product page it says that the 201 keyboard won't work on the TF700, users report that it DOES work. But apparently the amethyst grey colour is slightly different and there's a tiny gap between dock and tablet.

So I have ordered the new keyboard and when my forwarder ships all 3 boxes to me, I'll just sell the 201 keyboard

Is there a difference? I noticed my box for the "TF700" keyboard had all the specs of the TF201 keyboard - including the words TF201! It just had another label on it stating it was the TF700 keyboard too.

It was from B&H, so I wouldn't imagine them doing anything dodge...

Question

What's the wifi performance like on these 300 models? Notably better than the TF201?

My TF700T is currently sitting, charging. So thats now SGS3 & Transformer Infinity in my Android family... However, is the dock EXACTLY the same for the TF201? Because thats the model number on the sticker on the underside of the keyboard.

And to show I'm not a total Android lovo, purchased a new ipod classic after my old one got nicked from my car
