Default DIY Perspex/Windowed Hard Drive. advice required.

So I've seen the awesomeness of the original WD Raptor that had its own window and I really thought that a perspex windowed or entire drive would be pretty sweet.

Now, one shouldn't open a drive or expose it to our volatile inferior human air and expect it to live so I'm still thinking that through -- in times where I've had to do serious data recovery I have done so in areas that are practically steam rooms or saunas and this has always worked out so there's one option.

also I wont be using a disk with all my freaking data on it haha

so, thoughts?

im sure i saw a guy mod one himself...
the drive even worked....for a few mins

i wouldnt do it in a steam room...

i would put it in 2 plastic bags..take the top off with it inside the bags and then move the top from the inner bag to the outer...
then remove it (airlock) dremel out a hole...file it smooth and wash it
rinse and repeat
