does ivy bridge actually give a tangible benefit to real world users with crazy speed DDR3?

you know, how Sandy Bridge essentially gives no fucks?

Serious question. I'm about to buy a 3770k to go on a P8Z77 WS board.

But is that worth - in real world terms - the price difference between;

* G.Skill Trident X F3-2400C10D-16GTX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 @ $242

* G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 @ $121?

For you or for me?

Depends if you can justify high end gear or not?

Exactly how much is "a nice bump" ... 0.01 or 0.02%

Heh, so did I. The Corsair Plat 3k should provide a pretty decent boost over regular Veng 1.6; possibly so much that you can almost tell from how fast IE opens. It probably also provides a pretty big darn hole in yer wallet

the very problem with these kits, is that you need an IMC to go with them.
how many 3770K's will see a 3000mhz kit of ram reach that?
sure the rams will do it.
