Did you make sure you put the link between the power supply and the ATX connector that comes with it?
As to turn on/off the iMon does it by the power supply control line on the ATX connector which is triggered when you press the physical power button.

Here is the ATX link I'm taking about that allows the pc to turn on via the iMon remote.

Those 3 wires go off to the imon front bay and are the control lines for power.

And if the remote doesn't work at all even in windows you may have a faulty remote etc as its all good for me and can pair properly.

Read that pc won't even boot really strange even without the USB plugged in the remote should still control power by that link.

I can turn my pc on and off by the remote.

When I turn the wall power on as I turn the wall on and off between uses the screen lights up white until I get into windows then stays off on standby power.
Yes, that ATX link cable, if i plug that in, the PC won't boot, unplug it and it works fine.

I've got that one.

Works great with my Logitech Harmony One with XBMC.

I need an 80mm fan for the rear of my antec fusion case as my htpc is in a cabinet, the one I have atm I got from dealextreme and is quite noisy.

Anyone got any brand suggestions that I can pick up for a reasonable price in Perth?

if i bought the case right i might need to replace the HSF with a more stock one...does stock HSF for the latest core i processors (socket 1155) fit with an LGA 775 CPU?

OK, back with another strange issue..
I have a couple of HD .avi files that seem to be OOS in the HTPC..
first one is OOS from the start, the other is ok, but goes OOS if i pause or skip
However, on my main PC with the same codecs installed this doesn't happen.
HTPC is bitstreaming to the amp though..
Any idea what i might need to change on the HTPC to get it to work right?

It might happen with other files as well, i just haven't checked many yet..
also, i played it through VLC on the HTPC and it was fine..

how have you set the audio in VLC? what codecs are the audio in?

i had a similar issue when i set VLC to send the audio out via SPDIF and i was playing MKVs with DTS and even DD audio.

EDIT: I think there's an issue with VLC bitstreaming to the VSX-521.

I think you miss understood me..
The issue is within media browser..
VLC works fine
I'm wondering about setting VLC as the media playback program.. it seems to work better, but i'm not sure if the remote will work as well for Fast forwarding and rewinding.....
I just checked a few other HD files, and everything else seems ok, it's just these 2 particular files that have issues.. but i'm not sure what the common factor is with them

Default Remote

Thought I'd let people know in here, just in case you all haven't seen this.

http://www.pulse-eight.com/store/pro...-for-xbmc.aspx

A new keyboard/remote for the HTPC. It's got remote buttons on one side and keyboard on the other. It works out of the box with XBMC on Linux (and I suspect other OSes as well).

When you flip it over to the keyboard side, it automatically brings up the search keyboard in XBMC. I have had mine for a couple of months now, and I'm pretty happy with it. Delivery was nice and quick too.

With what program?

I've just set VLC as an external player for everything other than DVD, Bluray, and HD-DVD..
Will see how it goes tomorrow with the remote..
