So ive just finshed building my first pc, got it running nice and smoothly then decided to check my temps with SpeedFan. To cut a long story shot, WTF?
GPU - 28 HDD 1&2 - 27C Then there are 5 other which are called Temp then a number with 2 double ups. But what im finding strange CPU Core 0 - 6C Core 1 - 9C Core 2 - 10C Core 3 - 9C Im using a 3570K on a z77x-d3h with a Cooelrmaster hyper tx3 evo. Can someone explain this to me please? Ambient temp is about 20C Last edited by Carcin0Genic; 17th July 2012 at 6:17 PM. |

Thanks. Seems much more accurate. Sitting on about 60c on prime95 for an hour. Is it normal for core 0 to be 8 to 12 degrees cooler than the other 3 cores when under load?

I have the same issue and after googling around I've come to the conclusion that it is pretty common for Ivy Bridge to have a large temperature difference for one core.

Usually the middle two cores are the hottest, with cores 1 and 4 somewhat cooler. 12 degrees is a pretty big gap though, you can reseat the cooler if you like but don't count on the temps getting much smaller.

Yeah, this happens on most processors if I am correct. My x5504 x5560 and 930 did this.
Gaps widened to about 8 degrees on full load. |
