Hey guys,
Trying to install quickbooks and get this error

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package

Are you trying to install from a CD or downloaded file?

Are you trying to install this on an old unpatched Win XP setup, by any chance?

Check the hash to see if it has downloaded correctly - if that's not available download again, could be a corrupted download.

Was the old one also Windows 7? If not, try compatibility mode. Also, how did you install on the old system? Off-line? It might not be a stand-alone package, it might be one of those net installation ones, where you have to be online and it fetches the installation files from the internet.

Just ring Quickbooks. They're normally very good with support for random little things.
Sounds to me like the installer is just corrupt though.
