Edit: Have it fraps'd too, hear it coming in and he ditches it in a random field right next us, nothing jumps out, then 3 of us are gunned down by an M240/M249 :/

Encountered our first helicopter tonight. We had just arrived at Devils Castle when it came in overhead to land on the tower. We hid in some bushes but their fluttering around aroused the Zeds in the area and they started shooting them and found one of our guys in the process. So we unleashed with 2AKM's an M4A1 and a M249. Managed to kill the 2 door gunners before they bugged out. I dont think they knew what hit them

Unfortunately we couldnt get a shot on the pilot and the chopper got away.

Not sure why people chose to land on the tower at Devil's Castle. It's not the best place to be landing a heli — super visible from all angles, and because of the players that usually frequent that area/surrounding areas, has a good chance that you'll be shot at with a nicely ranged weapon.

The LA85 should not be called a gun. Just remove the scope and carry it around like binoculars.

Seriously though, I took a LA85 to Cherno for some sniper testing. My first lucky target was moving at 200m away, shot twice with no reward. I thought perhaps my bad aim. Another set of sitting ducks, two to be precise, in the fire station. Zeroed in to 300m this time as that is what the range finder said. This time I believe that I hit them, freaked them out heaps but alas they escaped through the back door. I turn around to check the rest of town and panic as I see a player just above me exactly 50m away. I dive behind cover but he saw me and sits there patiently with his M4A3 CCO. For the next five minutes it is a slow and boring wait, hoping he would give up and look away; but he doesn't. With all my guts I back out of cover and unleash full hell into him wasting half a clip before he falls down riddled with holes. My first LA85 kill and it was at 50m against a guy who had the higher ground. I look at my health and noticed he didn't even take one point of damage. Talk about bad shot.

Time passes. I see more players running around at 200-300m away and take some shots, all bar a few miss. Suddenly, CRACK! BOOM!, I rush to my feet as some douche with a 50cal shoots a few rounds at me. Fortunately he is also a poor shot and I manage to escape to the other side. I look back to where he might have been, abusing the thermal scope. A few zombies are attacking the cranes but I see no players. Then I spot a new spawn climbing a silo and decide it is time to test the LA85s long range capabilities. With zeroing set to 700m I fire my first shot, he doesn't seem phased at all. Multiple shots follow, adjusting my aim each time till I see him panic and run back down. I fire more shots as I look for signs that I am actually hitting him. After a few minutes and about a clip of ammo he finally drops to the ground unconscious. Expecting to get another kill I fire even more into his body but he soon stands up and attempts to bandage his wounds. Another clip is wasted into him, hes been up and down like a yo-yo; in and out of consciousness. Yet he still has the stamina to jump into the water and swim away. What a shitty little gun; it's bark is definitely bigger than its bite.

CRACK! BOOM! SPLAT! I'm dead, Mr 50cal found me and some aim.

tl;dr? one kill at 50m, one severely injured at 700m, five+ escaped at 100-400m, five wasted magazines and a LA85 that I did not mind loosing.

Not a fan of the Thermal scopes, targets are indeed hard to hit.

Just installed it, latest version I could find (used the auto updater) but every server seems to be running 1.62.94xx but it says I only have 1.62. Is there a newer version floating around somewhere?

wow im glad i wasn't able to play last night, while the hacks are around there is simply no point playing the game. I was watching a vid the other day with what they can do...basically anything

This can range from seeing players / tents / vehicles on the map, spawning pritty much anything, teleporting to players, teleporting other players. Killing other players / breaking their legs you name it

We've had 3 of us moving towards a small town close together, 2 of us in normal get ups but one of us in a ghillie suit. We pause on a hill for a second and our wookie is dead. Didnt hear any shots and he didnt have a chance to recover. Myself and the other survivor lay down and stay still out of fear. A few minutes pass and we go over to the body to loot it before getting out of dodge. We were there for a good 5 minutes before we left the body.
Either it was a sniper that is excellent at playing mind games, or something fishy was going on.

yes unless it has updated , since last night i just get waiting for host if i try and join it , it also does not show on the filter , when i direct join i get waiting for host

edit : i think they have done something so the un patched servers are not playable , im updating now to see what i get
