Please recommend a router/modem for remote video surveiliance
OK I have zero knowledge about surveillance equipments and my friend wants me to recommend the best modem using which he can remotely view the surveillance videos in his iPhone over 3G when he is away from home ? Is this possible and if so what modem to use - Model number and brand recommendation please

You can use any modem or router that you want, it's a matter of choosing the correct software to use with the video surveillance package. Some software is free, others cost money. If your mate wants to use the software from his phone, he might need to look at purchasing a software package of some sort.
Also, is the video surveillance IP cameras, or CCTV connected to a receiver similar to a DVD player?
