Default WD 2.5" 2TB hdd... Internal?

Hey Guys,

Have been on Google for a good solid 4 minutes but can't find anything about an internal version of the 2.5" 2TB My Passport WD do.

Does anyone know if you can get an internal version or alternatively if you can just break open the My Passport and use the drive out of it... One key thing would be whether it's the same thickness as a normal 2.5" drive as I want to fit it into my Macbook Pro and it's a tight fit!

Thanks,
JM

Looks as though it's 15mm thick.

Most likely it has the USB bridge built in to the drive, so no SATA port even if it did fit.

Full specs of the internal version 1.5TB and 2TB models

Spec sheet says they won't go in a laptop.
