Default anyone know how to add a drop down folder to Finder toolbar?

I want to add a folder with shortcuts to the toolbar but when I drag the folder into the tool bar it just creates a link to that folder in finder.

Anyone know how to make it so that the folder opens up like the drop folder icon does or like the folders in the docks does?

I don't think what you're trying to do is possible.

I have utterly no idea what you're asking for, so I'm going to go ahead and say it's not possible.

Sorry for not being clear guys, hopefully this is clearer.

I have a folder that has shortcuts (alias') to various folders.

I would like to place this folder onto the finder toolbar and have it show all the shortcuts in a drop down menu when I click it (the way the dropbox icon does when you click it).

Oh right.

You can't do that - use the dock if you need to.

it's totally possible, you just have to write it yourself. don't forget to post back here when you're finished!
