Finally finally, got around to finishing off my racing cockpit, purely inspired by the original designs in this thread.
Click to view full size! Still has to have better mounts for pedals, and the steering wheel is too high and not very well mounted. BUT it works pretty well, and I can envisage hours of fun. Thanks to OP for posting designs so people like me can make bad copies

I'm figuring out which way to go currently with a 3d monitor, nvidia or amd. Would love to try a 3 x monitor setup, but cant really justify it, will try 3d instead as I play alot of FPS's as well. Wow.
Id considered the potential lack of strength of the PVC, but thinking back 20 years to how it never gave way when subjected to ill fitting oranges and deoderant propellants...well, Im convinced! (...*click* THWOOOMP) Id love to give this a go for the garage. |
