Be back shortly. Gonna do a restart and see how far I can push this CPU/card. I have a feeling the Crucial Balastix Tracers 2x 1GB DDR2-1066 were holding me back.

(I know theres lots of calculations going on, but why can't it be cool looking haha?)

Best tool for overclocking as well?

P10041 - EVGA GTX680 OC Signature 2 - Stock (1097mhz Core/3104mhz Memory) - i7 920 @ 3.8ghz - 12gb Corsair XMS3 @ 1600mhz - Asus P6TD Deluxe - Corsair H70 w/ 2xGTs Push/Pull - modafroman - Link
Quick update, found the reason why I was getting artifacting/glitching/crashing.... PSU can't supply enough juice. :\

Did a run with everything disconnected except for essentials, runs fine. Here's my score with +90mhz core and +330mhz memory:

P10514 - EVGA GTX680 OC Signature 2 - 1293mhz Core/3434mhz Memory) - i7 920 @ 3.8ghz - 12gb Corsair XMS3 @ 1600mhz - Asus P6TD Deluxe - Corsair H70 w/ 2xGTs Push/Pull - modafroman - Link

Would love to break 11k, but my current PSU and RAM are holding back my CPU and GPU overclock.

You reckon a HX620 cant cope? My son only has a 520w Antec psu lol

Your gpu is already enough for 11k+, its your cpu score/clock holding you back.

Yea, i'd say it is, because it's the only thing that I can think of causing instability. Like I said, I removed a stack of hdds temporarily and it didn't show any artifacts or instability at all, very odd.

Figured since it's powering 6x7200rpm hdds, an ssd, bluray drive, 5 fans, amp'd soundcard and a stack of usb stuff (mouse, backlit kb, cardreader etc), it'd be getting pretty close, especially since psus don't run at 100% efficiency/output.

I'd say it can well do 11k+, but it's a combo of the PSU as above, and the ram (since X58 doesn't like 6 sticks of ram, running it at the rated 1600mhz is already enough of an issue, let alone overclocking it).

Hopefully I can get a hold of a better PSU and ram soon, give it another run

If 6 sticks is holding you back then take three out and try again.....

How can you tell what's holding back your score? Im only getting about 10k with the rig in sig. Gpu is overclocked to 1293/6800 with +93mV. Can't seem to get stable at 1300.

Carcin - put up a compare link, your low cpu clock wont be helping you, plus no HT.

Carcin0Genic sounds like a dud lightning, mine does 1300 all day long in BF3 with normal bios and no volt increase. Also what aussie said re HT, 1600ram - would be easier to see 3dmark result though!

Just got an extra fan for my cpu cooler so might now be able to push it abit higher.

Are you on the LN2 or Normal bios with the lightning?

Cpu now at 4.4. Why would my physics score be so low? Its set to autoselect in control panel.
