In pretty much the same boat, did you go the SIII, and if so what do you think?

If a camera isn't that important to you get the Nexus over the S3.

I love all my Apple stuff (MacBook Pro, iPad 2, Apple TV, iPhone 3Gs) but if Apple does a half-hearted job with the iPhone5 than I'll be switching to the SIII for my phone... I really hope they go bigger than the rumoured 4" taller screen... I've compared my 3GS side by side with the Galaxy SIII and its not really that much bigger physically in width and height, i.e. its not too big... the Samsung Note is... but not the SIII... so I hope Apple does go bigger than 4" Less than a month until we know now... September 12th the announcement is rumoured to be...

JB with Google Now is by far the best mobile OS. But if you are happy to Root it then things get a bit merkier I just think for the cost of a Nexus it can't be beaten for value.

- Black SGS3 looks boring imo. SIII ships with ICS stock. Never ever came out with GB.

Believe it is coming later this month, but who knows when the carrier will push it. That's the one thing really holding me back from Andriod, the non Google phones and local carriers need to get act together and try to make the update process smoother than it currently is. |

Hmm not sure what to do now...
I'm not overly excited about the iPhone 5... yes its nice... but it is evolutionary rather than revolutionary... Now I've decided I don't want/need to get the latest and greatest... and our bank account will thank me very much... I'm going to switch to Amaysim which will basically halve my monthly cost and also give me more as well at the same time... Now I'm not sure if I should wait a little while and maybe the iPhone 4S might drop in price a bit... and maybe get an iPhone 4S (to replace my iPhone 3GS)... There is a few features I would like to upgrade for: much better camera, WiFi hotspot, Voice Control (Siri) (could be handy for texting my wife while driving) So I don't know whether I should stick with the iPhone 4s/iOS as I have an iPad 2, AppleTV, and MacBook Pro, iPod Touch (2nd Gen), and my wife has an iPhone 4... so I can share any of my apps (paid) between all my iOS devices... Also compatiblity with my Car audio which has an iPod/iPhone connection, and then also my speaker dock at home also is an iPhone/iPod dock too... plus all the other accessories like cases, and accessories for the camera, etc... But then the Galaxy S3 (4G version) looks nice with the larger screen, 4G LTE, Google Voice (Siri competitor)... but also as its Android means I'd have to buy any of the paid apps separately for that phone due to having no other Android devices... ATM, the iPhone 4S 16GB on Kogan is still $599, whereas the Galaxy S3 16GB is as cheap as $519... Argh dunno which way to go...

battery life on galaxy s3 sucks balls. great phone otherwise. i'd go to work at 6.30 use it for a few hours (4g internet, gps navigation, phone calls) during the day and it'd be dead when heading out at 10pm at night.. if iphone has a better battery go for that

Nokia Lumia 900 will drop in price now that the 920's on the horizon. Much better than an S3 (stable, better battery) and not an iPhone.

even if i didnt use gps the battery is still shit. would struggle to get a full day. a phone should very comfortably be able to get a full days use 6am to midnight before being required to be recharged. if it can't make the battery/phone thicker. i don't care
