Yeah i agree with Shadow. If you wanna buy something that has lots of grunt and you just wanna kick arse in gaming and be done with it then the 690 is a great choice! If you wanna play around with tweaking and OCing and looking for numbers as well, grab a custom pcb non reference 680 because they kick arse and have a ton of potential plus you can buy as many cards as you want according to what you wanna do. Easy upgrade and downgrade..
![]() Plus right now you can get two 680,s a shitload cheaper than a 690 if you look around.. P.S Does anyone need an EK full waterblock for a 680 DCII ? Still got it as new never used! CHEAP*

![]() Think i'll give these a miss, i've got a new toy to play with now :P and they say Boat stands for "break out another thousand"! so might be trading gfx cards for boating gear :P maybe...

I ran Heaven for an hour or so and passed a few 3Dmark11 runs @ 1200MHz, although Afterburner and GPUz say max clocks are 1250MHz, I get random freezing past that so it looks like thats the limit for at least one of them, memory was stock. Quote:

TO USE COOK FUNCTION: Take off HSF, place frying pan directly on chip.
TO USE CLEAN FUNCTION: Take removed HSF and place spinning fans over dust. |
