I have an installed OS on it, won't be doing a fresh install. I tried a few third party tools last night, all suggesting they would work, but none did. I'm probably missing something.

got a few SSDs.

main PC - Samsung 830 256GB
backup PC - OCZ Vertex 2e 120GB
laptop - Kingston HyperX (original 5K version) 128GB

the laptop is quite old but it was the right price (free), intel T9300 2.5GHz dual core. despite only having SATA I (read performance cut in half), the kingston drive turned the old slug into something very capable.

Just installed a 330 series intel ssd into my wifes new pc (i3 2120 + 8gb ram)

The thing absolutely flies compared to my i7 920 with 12gb ram and gskill phoenix pro ssd. It literally reboots in a matter of seconds

also the sata cable they give with the drive is awesome

How are you finding it so far? I've just recently picked up the S100. Least you have your alignment right

Bugger it, I'll post this link here. Worth a read. OCZ's whole setup is a joke.

http://m.seekingalpha.com/instablog/...pect-deceitful

After seeing these drives fall in big numbers day after day at work, am really tired of the positive marketing spin they receive.

OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD here. Will never go back to a platter based hard drive for my OS.

Is anyone going to edit the OP with updates?

Just looking at Zoki_007's results up the page a bit, That's a single SSD yeah? I'm running a new pair in Raid 0 and my performance is nowhere near that (seemingly) Shitty raid controller on sata3? or am I doing something very wrong?

Yes just a single SSD, only running sata2. Fresh install of Win8

Do you have AHCI etc enabled in bios?

Just rechecked, I do, not sure if i'm missing anything, My sequential read is about 50MBPS higher, but everything else is lower, and these are a pair of 128GB OCZ Agility 4 drives :/ Might make a post elsewhere for some help.
