Okay, here is a funky dish you can make quickly, and it
takes great. The best part about this is you can totally change the flavour of the dish by changing types of soup. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 can of Condensed Soup 1/3 cup of milk 3-4 cups of pasta pieces 1 teaspoon of salt 1 Onion Grated Cheese ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put the pasta (tubes, spirals, any kind you like) and teaspoon of salt in a pot and fill with water. Put the pot on the stove and bring it to the boil. Keep stirring the pasta so it doesnt stick together. Once the pasta is cooked, run it under cold water and then let the water drain. (one of those collender doovers are good here). Spread the cooked pasta out into a flat dish that you can use in the oven. Take your can of condensed soup (you can use any type of soup here. I did it with a can of Campbells Chicken & Corn soup, but it also tastes great using Pumpkin, or Tomato or any flavour you like) and empty it into a bowl. Put the 1/3 cup of milk in with it and stir it so its all mixed together, then simply pour the soup into the dish to cover the pasta evenly. Chop up your onion in any size you like (diced, rings etc) and spread the onion over the top of the soup/pasta. If you feel like a bit of an experimentationalist you can always add some spices and herbs at this point but its totally up to you. Then cover the top of everything with grated cheese. Use as much or as little as you like. The more you use, the less healthy this dish is. Then the last thing to do it stick it into the oven on about 220c until its all cooked. You can quickly stick it under the griller to brown up the cheesy top if you like. Otherwise, pull it out and serve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This dish is great cause its nice and cheap (should be able to make it for about $8 and it can serve 4-6 people depending on the size of the serves. I made it tonight and from start to finish including cooking took about 45 mins. Last edited by Crowley5150; 28th January 2002 at 4:54 PM. |

sounds yummy
but 220f, thats pretty low, dont you mean 220c, esp if you want the cheese to melt quickly.

Well, I made this dish again the other night, and basically did everything the same, except this time I just thew in about $3 worth of sliced Seafood Extender into the soup before pouring it over the pasta...... Totally changed the taste of the dish.
Just thought i'd add this one if anyone is feeling adventurous. Chris |
