Hi all,
Looking to buy a home theatre receiver and speakers. Budget is around $1000. Currently already have a DVD player. Will be mainly used for watching DVD's very little listening to music. I have been looking at the Panasonic SC-HT07 Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Any other recomendations? Don't want to spend more than $1000. Any info would be appreciated. Are you planning to spend any more on this setup or just leave it at that? I would suggest (one way or another) getting a yamaha receiver (such as the RXV450 or whatever yamaha is floggin in the $600-$700 price range these days) and possibly looking to buy some speakers seperatly. I would look at buying some TLSK (www.theloudspeakerkit.com.au) speakers if you dont mind building yourself and want great value for money but this might push you over the budget. To be honest I'm not really sure what the quality of the Panasonic system is like, but if your interested and want to do a bit of research (use the search button there are heaps of questions like these
) I would recommend that you go for your own custom setup. Thats just what I would do but I'm sure there are other people who will help you out who know more than me
