Why is there a PAL DTS Shortage ??

Why is there many titles which come out Australia in the PAL format miss out on DTS ??... The PAL image quality is far better than NTSC, I only wish we got the DTS too will ALL the titles.

Does any one know why we get shafted ??

disk space possibly???
Because pal movies are higher resolution than NTSC, they take up more space on the dvd and after including special features and what not there might not be enough space left over for the dts soundtrack.

If that is the case, then they'd have the same shortage of PAL DTS in Europe.

So is this shortage PAL-wide, or just in zone 4? If it's the latter, it's just another case of us getting screwed over by TPTB.
