Saphire X800 Pro vivo TOXIC

i have the exact same sapphire X800 pro toxic.i think the core is clocked at 475mhz or something like that?the card is basically very nice but i do have problem using the APE software which comes with the bundle(after installing it and reboot it comes out a msg saying"windows failed to boot last time continure anyway?).and most prob due to other software conflicts,i cant use ati CCC without problems even installing it after i got .net frame and its critical update.so now i am just sticking to the ati control panel.tried the omega drivers as well.and it causes some system instability like screen frickles and blank black screens.but alls well when it use the ati control panel version 4.12 beta.

i removed the artic cooler 4 and clean off all the thermal paste and replaced them with artic silver 5 and somehow managed to mount a zalman fan on the back of the card( on the big piece of aluminium heatsink) and i managed to clock the core to 574 without artifacts(using ati tools) and it runs stable in all the games i played.yes the small cable that comes out of the hsf of the card is to be connected to a front lcd temp reader.but the connector is different from that of my cooler master aero cooler so i removed that and replace it with the temp strip from the cooler master panel instead.your son must've love that card so much so much.LOL

Zak (my son) has always had a pretty awsome system since age5, hes a great gamer and we play alot of multiplayer games together.
Atm were playing Doom3,WH40k-DOW(my fav ) ,Nfs2u, and just recently some HL2,

So it's no fun when your sons pc is chunking along or struggling to play these great games.

It's our hobby, and its great to have a son who is also your best mate at home to play games with and im sure he feels the same way.

800 bux for a card is a small price to pay for somthing that gives us both soooooo much enjoyment.
