Location: Perth, Western Australia
Camera: Canon 300D (silver)
Lenses: 18-55 EF-S, 90-300 EF.
Accessories: 256Mb CF Card (getting more when I have the money)
Software:

Description: I've been working towards getting myself a 'real' camera for a long time and it's finally happened. All of my old 'photos' were taken on a Kodak Digital Camera which had lovley colour but 1.2Mp is hardly worth-while.

History:
Started by taking the occational holiday snap on the family camera. Lots of years flew by and before I knew it computing in uni was boring the pants off me and sucking away the last of my creative juices. So I grabbed some money from birthday + 'savings' and got a Canon A70. I chose it for the manual settings so I could teach myself 'proper' photography. A few weeks later I had the photography bug.

Found the macro setting and hunted down insects in the backyard (it was great being a kid again), Took it on walks into a nearby National Park and general stuck to nature and landscape shots. I found what worked and didn't purely through experimentation. But the A70 could only take me so far and after a year of pointing and shooting, I started looking for alternatives. It wasn't helped by a friend getting a 300D. I decided to resist the temptation and wait until its predicessor came out. And so I now have a shiny, silvery 350D. With my second lense on its way and a third in the pipeline, Im starting to wonder where my closest Photographers Annonymous is...

Melbourne, Vic

Current Cameras:
Film P&S: Olympus Trip 35 (on it's way)
Digital P&S: Fuji Finepix F30, Canon Powershot A450.
Digital SLR: Pentax *ist DS (on life support), Pentax K200D
Lenses: Sigma 18-50 DC, Sigma 55-200 DC, Sigma 18-125 DC, Tamron 17-50 DI II, Tamron 18-200 DI II, Seimar-Donnex 135 F2.8, Pentax FA 50 F1.4, Pentax M 50 F2, Pentax DA 10-17 fisheye
DSLR accessories: Pentax AF540FGZ flash, ebay 3M wired remote trigger. ebay IR remote trigger. Extension tubes. Reverse adapters (need 49-52mm stepup ring, which is on it's way), tripod, Gorillapod (somewhere)

Previous cameras: Olympus Camedia C310 Zoom (died), Minolta Dynax 404si (threw out after breaking it's lens)
Previous Lenses: Minolta 35-80mm AF (tried to disassemble it to clean the insides. destroyed it, never again >.>; )

Software: Lightroom
Gallery link: www.nakeyboy.com/gallery (work in progress >.>)

Always had a camera of some sort. Got into photography more in high school. Became a closet photographer wannabe and got a digi-cam to learn how to take better photos.

I bought the Minolta secondhand yesterday.. and i can't put it down.. i'm a complete n00b photographer and want to learn to take the best pics. The reason why i got the Minolta is so i can learn before stepping up to the DSLRs..

EDIT1: that's 3 years ago. since then, i got a Pentax *ist DS which i've loved. the F30 is my P&S when the *ist DS was too heavy, and the A450 i bought for a video experiment (been using it as a spare camera to hand out to friends /family if they need it).

Just bought the K200D, and been loving it.
