Another question wouldnt hurt

Im trying to overclock my A64 3200+. Does this basically just playing around with LDT multipliers, HTT speed, CPU VID Control and CPU Special Control? Currently my LDT multi at 3x, HTT speed at 230Mhz, CPU VID Control at 1.5V and CPU Special Control at 110% above CPU VID Control. I cant get higher (when I put higher ie 2400, 2500 the system wouldnt run, it stucked at startup screen) so right now my CPU @ 2300Mhz. Can anyone help me how to increase it more?

My system A64 3200+ Venice, DFI LP nF4 Ultra-D, 2x512MB OCZ Values VX

Trying to overclock CPU first then burn in those RAMs and then overclock the RAMs

This may sound stupid but it worked for me:

When i put my ram in Dimm1 and Dimm 4 i was able to achieve a 900mhz oc (300x9 =2700mhz) but in dimm1 and dimm3 i couldnt get past the 2.4ghz mark.

Weird but im happy

Dimm 1 + 3 = DDR?

Edit: this was in response to the above post.

yeah i put on those .... the yellow slots but those because nintek suggests that they flashed my dfi bios to 618-2. It is better to put on yellows for OC they said

Actually I couldnt even manage to get 2300Mhz actually because I thought it worked then when i play games the pc restart itself then i put it back on 2000Mhz its fine now
