I have this card coming to me soon, I cant wait to check it out. Unlike the 6800 version from ASUS I dont think this will be vapourware

SLI in one cards are not new.

I have been waiting for the Gigabyte & other ASUS stuff to come out. ASUS had a 6800ultra dual card with 1GB of RAM on it.

But I can't find them on a price list anywhere, even the crappy 3D1 from gigabyte seems to have disappared.

If you could actually buy this stuff I might be interested. But until I see one on a price list I'm not interested.

Also is there any reason why ATI can't do the same thing?

ATI's Xfire ain't "ready" yet, camon surely you've beta tested enough stuff so far

Xfire atleast looks like once they "fix" it 4 x + GPU's will give a greater % gain then the Nvidia solution.

lastly ATI have done it in the MAXX2 thing, but there isn't much consumer requirement, the number of people actually using SLI cards in SLI on a SLI board is not likely to be that many, in a lan we held with ~120 people there were around 2 that had SLI running and in use etc
