Im using this simple formula to see if a given score is above or below the average score:

L4 - the score I want to compare to the average O5 ($0$5) - the cell which contains the average I would like to change the colour of the cell depending if it is above or below average. Like change the colour to green if it is above average of red if it is below to make it easy for others to see the data. Regards Wayne |

You should be able to do it with conditional formatting, using two cell conditions for higher and lower.
