Default battlefield 2 online on ps3

Hi

has anyone got battlefield 2 for the ps2 to play online with a ps3 yet?

2 mates have just got ps3 and when they try to connect the game to play online it comes up and says cannot find ps2 network adapter.

is there any way arround this? i have read the sony game compatibility site and it says no know issues with this game.

i have also emailed ea games about it and all they did was ask if i can play it on my ps2, which i had already explained that i can.

now i would like to get a ps3 but the main game i play is battlefield 2 - modern combat.

all help woudl be great.

thanks

as far as I know, all net play for PS2 games have been locked out in firmware 1.60. But as time goes by, PS2 games will be able to go online in the PS3 via firmware releases
