If they want to argue the fact ask to speak with their manager, if they want to argue the fact ask to speak to THEIR manager and so on until you get the response that you want that is "yes you bought this console package which includes all these parts in the one box and comes with 12 months warranty we will replace it for you".

If you are persistent you WILL get the response you want.

If you buy an accessory afterwards like an extra HDD I would still expect 12 months warranty on it as a consumer electronic device.

Fully agree, I reckon you need to try pushing harder. This situation sucks and you need to push them to comply with your rights as a cosumer, which I'm sure must be 12months warranty for ALL electrical goods, accessory or not. 90 days, what a joke.

Im positive almost all products sold in AUS must carry a 12 month warranty. Unlike the US who i think get 90 days. The one tech support probably services many if not all countries and might be getting confused with US laws.
