My money would be on the Creative software settings. (Getting in before everyone starts blaming them! heh)

Everything else on the PC is fine?

Can you get any other media to play via video card at 5.1?

For the life of me I can't find any hidden settings in creative or in Winfast PVR that might be affecting it, I can play movies and music all fine Its just the tv that only plays out of the left channel.

Edit: I've checked the connection at the back and when it is half in the speakers play right channel and when its fully in it only plays left channel, wtf is goin wrong now?

Possibly speaker setting in windozes eg start > settings > control panel. Sound etc and hit the advanced button and see that it is set to 5 odd.
