Default Remving Arctic Silver

I desperately needed to remove some thermal paste from the core (and ceramic) of my xp 1800. And i heard u ca use naptha lighter fluid on them. So i did, does anyone know if this is bad? Or does it actually work?

Check out the instructions at the Arctic Silver site here...

Basically some sort of alcohol for the core & dishwashing detergent for the ceraminc - leaves your CPU clean & lemon fresh!

I just used a tissue. Works a charm if you have nails to get next to the core
well thats what i did and yeah i have put more shit on my core then you could ever in your life imagine about 7g worth not arctic silver the whole time but none the less

CRC Contact Cleaner is great stuff for all your electrical components. It cleans extremely well and leaves NO residue on your chip.
