MSI X58 Tylersburg Motherboard Lineup

With the Nehalem launch creeping up swiftly, more and more details about the supporting X58 boards and processors are being shared around the web.

A little birdie has given us a rather informative slide of MSIs X58 plans, with three motherboards definitively in the works comprising the performance oriented X58 Platinum, enthusist focused Eclipse and another "Uber Overclocking" catagorized board which offers Quad SLI / 3-way + PhysX support at the hardware level via NVIDIAs NF200 chip.

You can see in the below slide some of the key features to make their way onto each of the boards All i can say is lol in regards to the "Uber Overclocker" title.

What exactly is an "enthousiast", and what is "CrosfireX"?

I wonder why their low-end board now seems to be the X58 Platinum. Isn't the "Platinum" name generally reserved for the top-end ones?

Anyway, with the launch approaching we should start to see boards from all the big manufacturers. Hopefully Abit will still show up with the IX58 MAX, although it doesn't seem very likely.

Roughly double the price, which isn't bad considering that it's still 'new' technology (and ~$150 for 3GB still isn't much, compared to how much you spend on everything else in a new system).

Double that question.... still expecting around october I assume? Hopefully for both boards and chips... this system im using right now is on its last legs, and I need a replacement soon

Little birdie told me that for a QX cpu you might be looking at around $1600USD.
That might put a halt on my oc'in for a little while....
