as you may have known, DF is finishing in rougly 3-4 weeks, but XtremeSystems have decided to move all their resources from all other projects onto DF, on a mission to take OCAUs place on the ladder before the project finishes.
This is a cry for help to all those doing F@H and other projects to consider moving a few boxen over to DF, please!! ![]() cant let those phase change crazy americans/europeans steal the place from us weeks (or maybe days) before the end of the project aranoid:Download is here Instructions are in readme1st.txt inside the archive, reasonably easy to set up. Please help!!!! |

Nice work seph.
For anyone from f@h who may be interested in helping out, but doesn't want to go through the process of creating their own user account for such a short time, please PM me and I will give you the login code for our team user called 'The Vicar'. Alternatively for windows users we have created a 'ready-to-go' installation package http://overclockers.com.au/folding/d...g/df_vicar.zip which is already configured for 'The Vicar' using appropriate switches for best speed. Just run 'foldit.bat' from within the folder you extract. I'll do up a Linux installer later. Now available: http://overclockers.com.au/folding/d...g/vicar.tar.gz As an indication on production, an AMD based machine (barton core) running at 2 Ghz will generate approximately 260,000 points per day. Barry edit: added Windows installer for The Vicar

I've moved some Power over to DF already as it is only for a few weeks.
Also check out the work the DF team has done for F@H here The DF client is easy to install as a service or run as a console application, Need any help, just ask here and i'm sure you will get a response fast, as you can see from the DF thread we have that we are always in the DC forum! Please help out the DF gang!

Thanks for the help so far guys, should only be for 3 weeks or so, then il move my stuff over to F@H once we've successfully beaten xtremesystems in DF
![]() The more the merrier, so keep em coming, as thats what XS are doing, noticed from their forums a lot of people are bringing some fairly significant firepower over to try and take our spot, so show em some aussie spirit! ![]() Quote:

You can then upload when online by creating a copy of the foldit script and changing the command switches to -ut only and this will upload any work cached. If you use irc go onto #ocau-df on efnet and we can give you some help. Barry

An example of an online (windows) folding script is (check foldit.bat for the relevant line): .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -qt -rt where -qt means no output to screen (quiet mode) and -rt means use extra ram (around 90MB with this protein) If you are folding offline your script would look like this: .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -qt -rt -i f where -if tells the programme to cache completed work The 3rd script, usually a copy, would upload work when you are back online: .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -ut where -ut means upload only. All this is covered in the readme.txt file but can be a bit daunting on first read through ![]() Barry

So just to confirm, I would run .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -qt -rt -if most of teh time, then exit it when I dialup and run .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -ut. When that is finished I would run .\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native-qt -rt -if again.
I think I am folding for the vicar now.
