I'm a dual boot user with win7 used for 99.9% of the time
and ubuntu 12.04 for the rest

I quite like unity, but I want the taskbar/dock whatever the hell it is at the bottom of the screen
and apparently that is far too difficult, or i'm being much too demanding of the good people who design it
so i'm just giving them the two fingers back

but I might install xfce onto it one day, when i can be bothered
shame as i did like unity, but yeah, I can't be doing with it on the left side of the screen,
does my noggin in good and proper!

If you like the unity bar but it's location bugs you then go into appearance /behaviour and switch on "auto-hide".

Whilst your faffing about in there you might as well adjust the width of the bar too.

auto-hide is even worse
I like it fixed and ever present
also the minimum size for icons is 32 - what's with that?
smaller than that would be better
