Nice one.

Have you seen the aluminum upgrade parts on ebay?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Upgrade-C...item3cc9512537

Might be worth the money.

Finally got my V911 after almost a month.

Holy hell it's fast!!! And it feels so flimsy

Edit: I can barely fly it.. feels very strange coming from a 3ch heli!

Edit2: Omg.... this thing can fly outdoors in a light breeze. Thanks so much for the recommendation guys, couldn't be happier!

I got my first helicopter today

My aunt got it for me for Christmas

It's an S929 as per the link below

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1341559

I had a quick go of flying, but I'm far from the greatest and need practice, but i've been wanting one of these for the last couple of years and so excited that i was in bed but after a few minutes trying to sleep and had to get up and have another quick go :P

Toysrus had a heavily discounted table, which had 2 choppers on it which were labelled as 'doesn't fly'.. one for $30 and another for $20.. figured i'd buy both and use the other as a donor chopper incase something was broken.. anyway, when i got to the checkout, it then also had another 25% off so it bought it down to $37.50... I've bought a few things like this over the years, namely a $120 buzz lightyear for $20 which was described as didn't work, but worked perfectly, so figured i could just use the choppers as props even if they didn't work..

Anyway, got them home, 1 of the choppers had been used and actually had crashed, as it had bent arms/broken plastic/missing power adapter/equaliser board etc and the other was brand new, never used. Plugged the brand new one into the charger socket, and didn't charge.. then plugged the used one in and it did charge.. figured the battery was dead on the new one, so swapped it over and low and behold.. all working..

Haven't really flown it yet and I'm scared to.. its too big for indoors and it's too windy outside..

Got a Twister Medevac helicopter for Christmas. Having a shocking time trying to fly it, already broke the tail, plastic bubble and one blade. Had to pay out another $32 for two bits of plastic replacement parts!!

Certainly not as easy to fly as my little indoor F103.

Today my dad gave me his Nightranger 3dXP also known as the 'Venom 6230' copy of the manual on the page here, which has never been flown before.

He has got a couple helis a Copter X, Walkera etc tried to set them up but somehow never got any of them finished.

Same with this one he had the rotors spinning etc on the bench but didn't get it calibrated etc.

So this is the alloy model of the Nightranger 3dxl and is complete with battery, gyro, tx and flysky 6 channel rx was a base kit he built so not all venom parts, using esky gyro flysky tx and rx.

Only thing I need to get are the blades as he lost one of them it seems.

Only thing is its not calibrated with the main blades etc.

Anyone know how to calibrate these things or anyone in Perth or on skype willing to give me a lesson and walk me through doing it?

I'm used to small indoor helis so this will be my first full size one though my dad also has a coax outdoor which is pretty crap I think.

I have one of these

http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.AV...ue_color-41860

they are good fun for indoors, and easy to fly. Cant fly it outdoors during the day though as the remote is IR.

Still getting the hang of flying my Medevac, always worried about breaking something.

Hey guys,

Just updating on my little mcpx... I still have him but haven't flown it much (I should because the weather is playing havoc with my planes!).

Anyway, a couple months ago I discovered my tail boom was split so I bought the longer tailboom from the LHS and fitted it - makes it sooo much more stable and seems to have gotten rid of the weird tail oscillation back and forward. Fast forward to tonight and I had a few flights in the house then I got the bright idea of attaching my HK '808 keychain camera' to the mcpx. Surprisingly with a fully charged 300 mah nanotech I could fly quite nicely with the relatively heavy camera strapped on the bottom of the canopy.. What's more is the CG doesn't seem to be affected at all when you strap it on the canopy. I got a few vids but these keychain cams don't like low light so I won't waste anyones time posting however I do plan to hit a park up tomorrow afternoon or maybe on the weekend and see if I can get some mad footage from it

Hey guys,

I scored one of these RC copters the other day, chinese made model,

http://imgur.com/Qm94fqy

... goes alright but I don't have any forward or back control. The rear rotor does spin when I test on the ground. I bearly get a dip in the nose at full forward, 1m high before it levels off and drifts off in the breeze.

Any tips?

Thanks
