One Drive - Never used it, don't want it.
Had an uninstall in "Progs and Features" so, gone.
So far all good.
Any issues after uninstall? Last time I started uninstall MS features I broke the OS and had to a complete reinstall.

Spybot Anti-beacon does a good job of this.

OS running fine so far.

I did read on one site that it's not recommended to uninstall One Drive, as it's difficult to put back if you need/want it later.

although that's two years old info

Where it becomes problematic for me is my child at school. They teach everything the Microsoft way. Add to that the fact Education Queensland uses the shitty OneSchool application from TechnologyOne (a more useless bunch of idiots you cannot find) who are trying to reinvent vendor lock-in for people that don't remember the 1980's. Our children are being enculturated into a Microsoft only world.

Like elvis has already said, I am not wed to any third party vendor. I own the products I buy (yes, I understand how licensing works and that Windows is now a service, etc.) and I will use them the way I want. The only computers left with Windows here are mine and my son's desktops. Mine because I want to play games and the Linux support isn't there yet for the games I want and if my son doesn't have it he gets fucked at school when it comes time for assignments. Even his programming classes require him to use Windows based software.

It's been a little insistent for me after the creator update, but after killing it a couple of times it hasn't returned.

Windows 10 S will make this all much, much worse.

Let me guess, this will be sold OEM with hardware, unable to removed/upgraded to regular Windows without substantial jumping through hoops or "illegal" jailbreaking, and will be free/low-cost to suck in consumers?

As the years roll on, I'm happier and happier that I dumped Windows as both my daily drive and area of career specialisation so many years ago.

well got the Creator edition update today and was surprised that Control Panel wasn't there anymore ...found it using run and typing Control Panel

reason was it destroyed my sound and Wheel ..............but thankfully after removing and then reinstalling drivers for my Fanatech product and a few reboots and calibrations have them close to where I want them

Yeah I immediately noticed that as well, since that's how I usually get to control panel. Pretty annoying how hard they're trying to get people used to their new settings interface, I understand why but I will continue to resist it for a bit longer..

1607 = Anniversary Update here and I just unticked the sync provider notifications box. I think it's in the old versions they just bolted the adverts on top of it in creators update maybe?

I'm on the Insider Preview program and have just updated to Pro build 16193 and have never had any ads in file explorer...

Can only assume it is because you have an 'Insider Preview' build.

Googling 'Insider Preview - file explorer ads?' and we can see it is a hot discussion;
