yeah but with that comes no money so pity me fool

as for these drivers yes they do update the drivers as well as put in the balanced plan...which of course for me does didlly squat nothing

gained 30 points in cb15 but this time over 4 runs it is consistent whereas before it would fluctuate a bit.
3dm11 and timespy etc are basically the same so no real change there but so far the drivers are working and no flames are flying so all good.

would be nice to have some release notes to look at though.

i think they are more stability related but without any notes hard to tell.
but as i said it did help with cinebench so i,m guessing any multithreaded app should get a bit of a kick i have not got around to many others.

oh as for that ram i forgot to mention it is also single rank which is the best way to go with these chips BUT the heatsinks are about 20 inches tall so be warned...they look pretty damn commanding in my case

Nice find 3200 and those timings (14.....) at bclk 100 (3200 strap) or at >100 bclk?

It's b-die so it should be able to use the 3200 strap.

Also just a heads up for C6H owners. Asus has new Aura software up.

Hmmm.

I wouldn't get too excited ...
I ordered mine last week...
Still not shipped...

Warehouse1 are usually very prompt..

Hope you didn't pay via direct deposit ...
I had a gut feeling there could be issues... So I stumped up the additional 3% for paypal just in case...

Hoping it's just the Easter break ... Rather than a lack of stock ......

...

Had some cheap basic ram order from Amazon 4 weeks ago .. Still not shipped as well... I have my doubts whether they can supply at that price now

I used PayPal.

They have two weeks to deliver, otherwise I go back to MSY (to return the Hynix gskill, which I need to return anyhow) and get some Corsair. In which case I will demand a refund.

New BIOS for the Asus CH6! Basically the same as 0079/0081 but with a fix to help with cold booting with high ram frequencies.

mine took a little while to deliver plus they did not inform me with a tracking number...shipping wise they suck donkey
but it did not take what i consider a long time and packaging would stop a small caliber bullet

as for the 3200 strap....you would think so....but so far i have not been able to do it no idea why but it does boot with tight timings at 2933 and if you use bclk you can get 3600 if you fiddle a little with the timings.

overall i like them...a lot more than my corsairs at least plus they are friggen huge

oh yeah THAT bios..

please read all the threads after that because i am not going near it...black magic and goat sacrifice is what i have read so far.

A change of pants is recommended for flashing. After flash and reboot, I had a POST fail with error code. Had to clear cmos again and reboot. Apparently this is normal.

The other issue is that it flashes the embedded controller, which doesn't get reverted when flashing another bios.

It's helped though. I've gone from 3400 at 18-18-18-38 to 3500 14-14-14-34. Plus I can cold boot now, no random ram training failures.

you lot must be too young to remember when you had to hot flash* a bios chip to get back up and running.

*have a second eeprom chip with stable bios burned in, start pc, remove good bios while pc is ON, drop in fried eeprom, flash new bios with stable-ish settings. o/c your awesome AXIA stepping tbird cpu, rinse, repeat.
i do miss my old epox 8rda+ mobo. that was a golden combo
