That's good that you are dealing with EVGA directly in this case. Having purchased 100's of parts from newegg for the past 8 almost 9 years as I have a physical US address and private proxy service they fucked up a few small orders throughout the early years but I stopped dealing with them after my last order with them which consisted of over $6000 worth of parts consisted of RMA/open box units for other customers years back, never had to deal with such a shit support service.

Never again will I ever deal with them, they've sunken lower after the buyout 2 years ago. YMMV, just a heads up with those that want to deal with newegg.

RE: gumtree; it is mostly a hit and miss. Sometimes hit gold sometimes you don't.

That's why I only buy EVGA GPUs from newegg Honestly, I would rather buy from local shop, pay bit more, get the service and piece of mind. But not gonna pay $400 on top of $1000 card

My thoughts exactly. There's the Aus Tax that I'm happy to pay then there's the Aus Ripoff Gouge Tax+++ that I refuse to pay.

With the value of bitcoin continuing to climb, i suspect the drought of cards (and high prices) will continue for a while yet.

It definitely seems to be that way unfortunately, hopefully GPU supply will be able to meet demand, and prices can go down a bit

It has actually dropped a bit. Certainly not increasing in the meantime.

Your links are blocked by paywall just like bitcoin ICO in China .

The quicker the prices return to normal the better. It's getting ridiculous.
