I don't know what monitor would be better:
1. 1440p 120hz with G-sync
2. 4K 60hz with G-sync

I am thinking #1, but 4k is 4k, and I just kinda want it

If you can't run decent FPS at 4K, just go for 120hz as the smoother desktop experience IMO is better than the real estate
Can you even see the icons at 4K on a 27'" screen? Almost seems like too much res.

its too much, some things don't scale well in windows too

1440p @ 120hz is heaven, but damn $ to get those frame rates.

Pretty sure 8-bit colors is the best feature.

Been waiting for proper 8-bit 120Hz+ screen for a long time.

Tried the Koreans but got bad screens

Sounds a bit low, pixel response is not to be confused with input lag

Yes, but I am sure it will still be incredibly low. I have the 144hz VG278HE, and it has purportedly 4ms of input lag, and I expect they most likely have improved upon that in the last few years.
Speaking of which, I have mine sitting next to my nearly 10 year old Dell 24" which has 40+ms of input lag, and you can very easily see the difference. But between 4ms and 1ms, I expect no one would/could really notice.

They are expecting stock "late July". I guess they have to secure numbers before they can set up pre-orders.
