just received this email from pccg

Hi there,

We will definitely be getting them in! We don’t have any confirmed information for the ETA or pricing as of yet, but we’ll list them up for pre-order as soon as we possibly can.

Best regards,

too late for me though..... size matters
waiting on this (or another proper review) to help me decide whether to get this or a 4k unit, just to tide me over for 120Hz 4k + IPS, which i'm guessing will be within the next 3 years.

Honestly, I've personally lost a lot of interest knowing it uses a matte finish I'd imagine it'd arrive in the near future for us though, considering they're coming to Asia-Pacific region coming via air.

Yeah man, as far as i can tell, the main two limitations are the refresh rate of the IPS based panels and bandwidth limitations. Refresh rates are getting better and better on IPS panels (look at those QNIX and Catleap panels) and i imagine that technology won't stagnate, we have IGZO coming around pretty quickly as well. The bandwidth limitations should be handled using Displayport 1.3, which should also include adaptive sync. I believe the monitor market will substantially change very soon after stagnating for so long (how long have 1080p TN panels been a standard?). With all this in mind, i see the ASUS ROG monitor becoming outdated fairly quickly.

I'm still tempted by it though...

Okay.. so UK pre order up on overclockers.co.uk for £599.99 (not including VAT), according to xe.com.au that is AU$1,100.28, plus our taxes..

Hi, latest information is that North America is planning pre-orders with some partners from early August as its larger delivery of PG's are being shipped by boat, which takes longer than air transit sorry.
