I only just starting playing through Prey again last week! Such a great game!

I love how disorientating it can be. But I mainly started again for the portal puzzles (in anticipation for Portal 2).

So I'm definitely looking forward to more news on this one..

Apparently it's not using Tech5.

Quote:
We previously reported Prey 2 would be using id Tech 5. Bethesda Softworks Director of Marking and PR Pete Hines says the game will not be using that engine. "This game has been in development for quite a while and id Tech 5 is still in progress (until Rage ships, and probably even after). So it really wasn't an option," Hines said.

I managed to get hold of a copy of PREY and have been playing it again. Still a graphically incredible game. There is so much that is dynamic in the environment.
Shits all over a lot of new titles.

Live action trailer

Confirms the recent story that you play an air martial onboard that plane that crashes in the first game.

I remember that.

Used to have it cranked up full gfx on something like a 6600GT or a 7900GS. With full AA and everything. Looking back im freaking suprised how, those were midrange cards and i could put on the eye candy, can't get away with that anymore.

Will definitely get the sequel . Game that was portal before portal :P

Yeah. Runs like a dream on my aging system. Doesn't even touch my 4850. Best card I ever bought value for money wise. But yeah. Doesn't take away from the graphics at all.
I actually think the portals are as good if not better than Portal's. Just due to the added gravity shifts through portals I found more entertaining. Half the time your not just looking through a hole at an upside down world your right next to the upside down world as a room or environment.

Prey 1 had a cool intro.

Then it went to total utter waste of time shit. Honestly, they should find new jobs.

i played it on my much loved (at the time) ATi 9250 haha what a slideshow!!

I can't wait for the sequel, i hope its just as good graphics wise (for the day) as it was, and the story continues on, i think i'll have to replay the original so i remember the plot again YAY

imagine it in 3D with the room spinning around and your eyefinity setups omg CREAM CREAM CREAM !!

Don't feel pressured to elaborate on why you thought it was shit.
Find new jobs? Really?

Prey 2 Bounty trailer up:

Contains smack-talking aliens, douchebag facial hair, and Johnny Cash's Soundgarden cover.
